FAOIN TUATH IS BACK!

Faoin Tuath is a non-profit festival for queer people to connect beyond the city, featuring practical skill-sharing workshops, talks, live music performances, DJs, traditional music sessions, film screenings, shared meals, and much more.

We created Faoin Tuath because we didn't feel something like this exists in Ireland - a festival where queer people can come together to learn practical skills and spend time in nature but also get to socialise in a different type of environment with others, and be inspired and uplifted by queer performance and stories.

Weekend tickets include access to all events, performances and a selection of workshops, and with 7 meals included ( dinner on Friday evening, breakfast lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast lunch and dinner on Sunday and breakfast on Monday).

Faoin Tuath is an over 18s event. Bar and refreshments will be available onsite. 

How to get here and where to stay

Camping and van parking: Available on site for €15 per night. Includes access to our piping hot campsite showers, bathroom and kitchen. Select the add on when when booking your ticket. This year our campsite will be a quiet zone after midnight to allow people to recharge for the following day, with alternative space available later into the site elsewhere on site.

Accommodation nearby: There are many guesthouses and hotels in our area. As it is a bank holiday weekend, we advise early booking. Find your ideal accommodation option with the Burren Eco Tourism Itinerary Generator. We suggest that if you do use a site an external site to find accommodation, contact the property directly to make the booking. 

Getting here: Faoin Tuath will take place at The Common Knowledge Centre in Kilfenora (Eircode: V95DK38). Details of how to reach The Common Knowledge Centre are available here. Those booking tickets will have the option to join a Whatsapp group to offer or seek lifts.

Please note: We love dogs, but since we have our own animals on-site, we’re unfortunately not able to accommodate visiting pets during the festival. Thanks for your understanding.

Faoin Tuath is a Queer Sheds project

Queer Sheds is a new initiative aiming to address the social isolation experienced by LGBTQ+ people in people in rural Ireland by creating space for community to come together and share space, skills and solidarity with other LGBTQ+ people.
