Featuring:
'Saibhreas' by Sorcha Fox and Amir Abualrob
Amir and Sorcha will present a new theatre piece, 'Saibhreas', inspired by the connections between Irish and Palestinian communities, their shared relationship to the land and the history of colonisation in both countries. They will be joined by live musicians Tara Baoth Mooney and Aoife Hammond. Set in Ireland (Sorcha’s homeplace) and Jenin, Palestine (Amir’s homeplace), this is a modern story of connections, community and the power of art as resistance. This piece was developed through an artists’ residency at Common Knowledge and will be performed through the Irish Language, Arabic and English.
