A two-hour evening workshop for Meitheal Makers groups covering the core organising challenges that come up once a project is in full swing.

We'll look at how to structure your group so that work is shared fairly and people know what they're responsible for. We'll cover decision-making together, how to run effective meetings, and how to keep internal communications clear and consistent so nobody is left wondering where things stand.

By the end, each group will have a clearer picture of their own governance and a set of practical tools to take back to their project.

Meitheal Makers is a new project at Common Knowledge that supports community groups to turn ideas into action. Inspired by the tradition of meitheal where neighbours come together to share the workload the project is is designed to help communities build momentum around an existing idea, make a clear plan o deliver a local climate or biodiversity meitheal in your their locality.

Over the next 2 years we will be working with 16 communities in Ireland who want to host climate meitheals in their area.

The next Meitheal Makers weekend is taking on the 6th of November.
